Even though the museum has closed to the public for the season, the work continues behind the scenes. We had an excellent time with the AVG in the archives this week. We continued auditing the stored collection and brought some recent donations onto our books. Towards the end of the day, one of our regular volunteers Sue, found what might be thought of as an uninteresting object; a print of a Lancaster Bomber. However amazingly it was signed underneath by 106 Squadron’s only Victoria Cross winner Norman Jackson; a really tremendous find and one we were privileged to see.
