Today, Stewards from RAF Metheringham spent an afternoon at the ‘We’ll Meet Again’ WW2 Museum at Freiston. With the warmest of welcomes, the friendliest Volunteers, a unique collection of militaria and extensive 1940s homefront artefacts – there is so much to discover.
On display are many of the props & uniforms used in the recent film ‘Lancaster Skies’, including a replica Lancaster cockpit. There was also the opportunity to meet some of the actors and the producer of the film, too! A short walk through the site and you can also step inside and experience first hand, the WW2 coastal defence emplacements!
And to finish the visit, a treat of tea and cake in the on-site cafe! Whether it’s WW1 or WW2 that interests you, we think you will enjoy a visit to this museum. We thoroughly recommend a trip! Well done to Paul and Linda and to all your fantastic volunteers.
