A huge thank you to all who came to MAVC to help today. You worked fantastically as a team, doing the multitude of tasks that were needed to prepare the hall for our new season. Our volunteers are so flexible that once one task had been done they were ready to find the next one.
Roger, Keith and Mike Woodward worked together to help Christine M install new curtain poles and batons, Andrew cleaned the area of the bar and then worked with Chris D, helping to fit the UV film to the windows of our new “Heroes Room” display area.
Tracey and Mike W kindly started to revamp our information from the ZS room, updating the story sheets and making them more user-friendly.
Beryl, Christine G and Kate finished tweaking the displays in the ZS room with Keith and Tim doing the heavy work. We even borrowed James from the DAK team who is preparing to conserve our Merlin engine.
Peter, Tony, Roger. Mike Woodward, Gemma, Sue, Rod, Wendy and Caterina cleaned, swept, tidied and sorted. Mike K and Roger started sorting the Air Raid shelter and David and Cliff continued the digitisation and interpretation activities needed to support our new exhibitions.
A super job done THANK YOU ALL! Thanks also to Christine M for providing cake, it was much appreciated. Check out our What’s On! page for our Volunteer recruitment Coffee Morning next Saturday at 11.00am.
