Five of the crew were killed in the crash & their bodies recovered by the locals. Initially held in the village Marie (Village Hall) & then buried in a temporary grave in the village cemetery the crew was then re-interned in the @CWGC #Bayeux cemetery at the end of the war.

#Navigator F/O John Drylie & #BombAimer Flt/Sgt Stanley Black managed to bail out & survived the crash. John Drylie successfully evaded with the help of local farmers to make it back to England.
